How to Backup & Restore Mozilla Firefox Bookmarks?

Note: This article applies to Mozilla Firefox v. 3.6.8 only.
In this article you will learn easily, how to Backup/Restore Firefox bookmarks.
1. To backup Mozilla Firefox bookmarks.
Step 1: Click on Bookmarks tab present at menu-bar.
Step 2: Click on Organize Bookmarks .Alternatively you can press “Ctrl+Shift+B “to bring this menu directly.
Step 3:: Now you will get new window having Import and Backup tab at top.
Step 4::Click on Backup.
Step 5:: Mozilla Firefox exports all bookmark entries in its own proprietary format i.e., (.JSON).
However you can export bookmarks in HTML format as well by Clicking over Export as HTML sub-menu.
Choose a destination folder to save the Backup file, provide with a file name & Click on Save button.
In this way bookmarks can be backup for Future domain.
2. To restore Mozilla Firefox bookmarks.
Step 1: Click on Organize Bookmarks .Alternatively you can press “Ctrl+Shift+B “to bring this menu directly.
Step 2 : Now you will get new window having Import and Backup tab at top.
Step 3 : Click on Restore sub-menu. Either you can choose date from list, in case of automatic Restoration, or click on Choose file sub-menu to locate the backup file with .JSON extension.
You will be asked to replace your newer Bookmarks by Old ones in backup file. Click over OK button. You are done restoring backup.

Imported Bookmarks could be found under Bookmarks menu.
